A drag link is a suspension linkage component that is found in vehicles equipped with steering gear type steering systems. Drag links are most commonly found on larger trucks and vans, and serve as the component that links the vehicle’s steering gear box to the tie rod ends.
Rubber buffer is a type of anti vibration mountings that eliminate vibration, impact, shock and noise in machineries. These rubber buffers available in various shapes and sizes with stud or plate fixings, are widely used in cranes, moving machinery, end stops on structures, railways, automobiles and other engineering devices that have moving parts. Due to increasing change in modern production methods, there are constant demand for increasing working speeds and for ergonomic working environment. This has led to greater demands on existing buffer systems. A wide range of popular sizes, thicknesses and widths of rubber buffers are available to suit most applications. An oil pressure sensor is an integral part of an engine, responsible for monitoring the internal pressure. It functions on the principle that whenever the pressure deviates from a given range, detection and indication are done by the sensor and the switch. Ensuring appropriate oil leads to maintaining a robust and high-performing engine.
The speed sensor is a device that measures how fast the vehicle moves, and sends this signal to the ECU automotive computer. The ECU uses this signal to calculate the exact time the automatic transmission should change gear. It also calculates fuel injection time, and ignition time.
The crankshaft position sensor is an electronic sensor, which measures the position of the crankshaft. It detects the crankshaft position and sends the signal to the ECU. The ECU then calculates the injection timing, ignition timing, and engine RPM according to the crankshaft position sensor’s signals.
A water temperature sensor is an electronic device that measures the temperature of its environment and converts the input data into electronic data to record, monitor, or signal temperature changes. There are many different types of temperature sensors. The other type of contact temperature sensor is called a thermistor. The sensor works by measuring the temperature that’s being given off by the thermostat and/or the coolant itself. From there, your vehicle’s computer will use this temperature information to either continue operating or adjust certain engine functions, always working to keep the engine temperature at an ideal level.
Fuel level sensor, also known as fuel gauge, allows drivers to monitor fuel consumption and help them to determine when to refill the tank. They consist of two main components: the sensing system itself (also known as the sender) and the indicator (also commonly referred to as the gauge). Fuel gauges work by measuring the voltage across a variable resistor within the sensing system, to determine the level of fuel; which is then relayed to the driver via the indicating system. Several components work within the sensing system, enabling it to detect how much fuel is in a tank, including the float switch, a variable resistor, and a wiper. The sensor system is relatively simple compared to other sensors currently produced, although newer sensor systems can also utilize microprocessors for faster and more accurate measurements.
Rotation sensor is a type of sensor used for measuring rotary displacement. They can measure these rotary movements in either clockwise or anticlockwise directions. Rotation sensors are used in a variety of environments and applications to ensure the components within the device are working correctly. They are available in different technologies and each one has their own way of working with different advantages.
The throttle position sensor (TPS) is an essential part of your vehicle’s fuel management system, tasked with ensuring that a precise blend of air and fuel is routed to your engine. This sensor works in tandem with others sensors to optimize acceleration, cruising speed and fuel economy. Manufacturers typically place the throttle position sensor on the throttle valve spindle to monitor its position. The engine control unit (ECU) collects TPS data to optimize vehicle performance.
The ABS sensor is the ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) used in motor vehicles. In the ABS system, inductive sensors are used to monitor the speed of the vehicle. The frequency and amplitude of a sinusoidal alternating current signal are related to wheel speed. The output signal is transmitted to the ABS electronic control unit (ECU) to realize real-time monitoring of wheel speed. ABS sensors are classified in to two different types, Passive and Active. Passive is without a power supply and Active is with a power supply.
